We’re so excited for you to begin your journey in Education Playground powered by Attensi. This guide is designed to ensure you know how to navigate the main pages of Attensi, the platform’s unique features, and find the content you’re looking for on Education Playground — from monthly trend content to specialized training journeys.
Navigating the App
The navigation bar at the bottom of your screen is your gateway to everything in the Playground. When you open the app, you will be displayed the “Journeys” page, but there is more beyond that.

Before diving into specific tasks, familiarize yourself with these five core areas:
- Journey: Your structured training that follows a specific order
- For You: A library consisting of monthly trend content, vendor product knowledge, and technical training
- Explore: A global search tool to find any content across the entire platform
- Leaderboards: See how your scores compare to your peers
- News: The hub for platform updates, contest winners, and more

Your Roadmap: The Journey Page
A Journey is a curated sequence of content designed to help you master specific subject matter — ranging from Onboarding and Stylist Success to POS Training.
- Play in Order: Journeys are designed to be completed in a specific order. To get the most out of the training, you must work your way down the path in the order it is presented.
- The Content Path: You will move through various content, including videos, documents, and SKILLS modules, which consist of both digital Avatar Dialogues, and Minigames.

To view the journeys available to you, select the dropdown at the top of the journey screen.

Note: you must complete the “Welcome” journey in order to unlock all other journey content.
The 4-Star Rule: Unlocking Your Path
Because Journeys are designed to be played in order, progressing through the journey depends on your performance in SKILLS modules.
- The 4-Star Rule: Most journeys require you to "Certify" in a SKILLS module before you can move to the next one. To certify, you must earn at least 4 out of 5 stars on the SKILLS module.


- Dealing with Locks: If a module displays a “locked” button after loading, it indicates that you have not yet certified in a preceding SKILLS module.

- How to Unlock: Scroll back in the journey and review the SKILLS modules you played. If you have 3 stars or fewer in any of them, play the module again. Once you hit that 4-star mark, the next SKILLS module in your Journey will automatically unlock.

Mandatory Videos
Mandatory videos must be watched through to the end in order for them to be considered complete. You cannot scrub forward to the end, as it is mandatory content that must be watched. Make sure you have enough time to finish the entirety of the video and do not close the video early, or else you will not get completion credit and will ultimately have to watch it again.

The Content Library: For You
The For You section is your daily destination for the latest trends, product knowledge, and technical training content.
- On Trend: Access the latest monthly On Trend videos and guides and featured style tutorials.
- Product Knowledge: Deep-dives into the professional products you use every day.
- Technical Training: Videos detailing technique and methodology to master your craft across haircutting, color, and more.

Note: The product knowledge section is at the bottom of the For You page.
Global Search: Explore
While "For You" and “Journeys” make up your total content library, Explore helps you find exactly what you’re looking for across the entire platform.
- Tap Explore: Use the magnifying glass icon in the navigation bar.
- Search Everything: Search for things like “Paul Mitchell” to bring up content such as product knowledge.
- Filter Results: Use the filter buttons to narrow your search by content type (e.g. video, SKILLS, or PDF) to find the exact material you need

Stay Informed: News & Leaderboards
News: This is where we share various platform updates and company news, as well as announce contest winners

Leaderboards: Check your rank! You can see how you stack up globally (across the organization) or within your specific salon. The higher you score in SKILLS modules, the higher you move up the leaderboard list.
